It is nigh impossible to really fit a rum into a score, but we still love the number to designate. Like many others I adapted a 0-100 score years ago. In fact I stole this rating system from a review site for whisky around ten years ago. The site is long gone, but if you recognize it, please tell me, I would love to credit the author properly.
LOWER League
0-49 not good at all. In fact, hardly drinkable.
50-69 near the boundaries of drinkability.
SECOND League
70-77 This ranges from very drinkable,
78-83 to very enjoyable drams.
FIRST League
84-88 Very good bottles with certain complexity and balance.
89-91 Excellent. A must-try!
TOP FLIGHT League
92-94 Bottles in this league has entered serious domains.
PERFECTION
95-97 You should at least try rums like this once.
AFTERLIFE Rum League
98-100
Divine liquid almost impossible to find within earthly boundaries.
